The paramilitary force on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended 13 suspects, including a drug peddler, during raids in different parts of the metropolis.
According to a spokesperson for the Sindh Rangers, Major Qambar Raza, the criminals were taken into custody in Bahadurabad, Ibrahim Hydri, Nazimabad, Paposh, Itthed Town, Awami Colony and Mithadaar areas for their alleged involvement in a number of street crime, drug peddling and robbery cases.
Notably, the suspects were identified as Rizwan, Raja Shahbaz, Muhammad Waseem, Sajjid alias Pindat, Umar Zain alias Ten, Muhammad Shafqat, Arsalan, Abdul Wahid, Muhammad Faraz Ahmed, Asad Ali and Hafizullah.
Separately, a rangers’ party carried out a targeted raid in Itthed town and detained a drug peddler, Ekram involved in supplying narcotics in the area.
The Rangers also claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition and drug from the possession of detainees.
Later, they were handed over to the police for further legal formalities, said spokesman.
