The menace of dog bite cases have increased, as three cases were brought to Accident & Emergency Centre of the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Friday, including one from Shikarpur district. According to details, a young man Nadir Ali Lolai, a resident of Jumo Agham, was bitten on Friday. Another nine-year-old boy Abdul Razak, son of Barkat Bhutto, was bitten in village Khabar near Larkana and four-year-old Piyaral, son of Bashir Jaffery, was bitten in village Anghan Khan Jaffery near Garhi Yasin (Shikarpur district). All the victims were injured seriously and referred to Casualty of CMCH. The relatives of all affected victims told newsmen that stray and pye-dogs have made their lives miserable and they have neither been vaccinated nor eliminated from their respective villages despite increase in dog bite cases and their villages are also without required life-saving vaccine ARV for which they have to run from pillar to post to obtain it and to save precious lives of their beloved persons. They said they have to spend extra money in this worst poverty era to travel from one place to another in search of treatment and vaccination. They demanded of the rulers that massive campaign must be launched without further loss of time to kill these stray dogs as their population has increased to an alarming level and they further demanded that Injection Anti rabies vaccine must also be made available near their hometowns so that their expenditure could be saved on travelling.
