Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has blasted Pakistan Super League Chairman Najam Sethi in response to latter’s comments about Pakistan Super League having zero tolerance for corruption.
After allegations of corruption and suspension of Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, Sethi had, in his tweet message, assured fans that Pakistan Super League would not tolerate corruption.
In response to Najam Sethi’s comments, Imran Khan in a tweet on Saturday had said that it was funny how an ‘election fixer’ wanted to eliminate ‘cricket spot fixing’. He was of the view that spot fixing only affects cricket while election fixing affects democracy.
In 2015, the PTI chief had accused Sethi of fixing ’35 punctures’, which referred to the alleged electoral rigging in 35 constituencies of Punjab in the 2013 general elections.
Joke: Election fixer Sethi to eliminate cricket spot fixing! Latter only affects cricket; elec “fixing” greater crime threatening democracy
