ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that former Balochistan finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani’s plea bargain with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to “clear” his Rs 40 billion corruption by paying Rs 2 billion shows that the institution is promoting corruption and “making crime pay”. In a tweet on Thursday, the PTI leader said that former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf’s claim that former army chief General (r) Raheel Sharif pressurised the judiciary to remove him from the Exit Control List (ECL) “deepens perception that powerful can violate laws with impunity”.
